Kingdom Theology

  • 2 Steps

About

This program is about Kingdom Theology, designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of the biblical, historical, and theological perspectives of the Kingdom of God. It is especially tailored for newly ordained pastors or ministry leaders who seek to deepen their knowledge of how the concept of God's Kingdom shapes the entire narrative of Scripture, informs Christian theology, and applies to everyday ministry. Key Focus Areas: 1. Biblical Foundations: * Understanding how the Kingdom of God is introduced in the Old Testament and fulfilled in the New Testament through the life, ministry, and teachings of Jesus Christ. * Exploring how God’s rule is revealed through creation, the covenants, Israel’s history, and the prophetic hope for a future Kingdom. 2. Historical Perspectives: * Tracing the development of Kingdom Theology throughout church history, from early Christian expectations, through Augustine’s writings, to the Reformation and modern theological movements. * Understanding different eschatological views (premillennialism, postmillennialism, and amillennialism) and how they influence our understanding of the Kingdom. 3. Practical Application: * How the Kingdom of God influences Christian ethics, discipleship, church leadership, and pastoral ministry. * Living in the tension of the "already-but-not-yet" nature of the Kingdom—seeing it as both a present reality and a future hope. Overall Goal: The program aims to equip pastors and ministry leaders with a deeper theological and practical understanding of the Kingdom of God, enabling them to teach, preach, and lead their congregations with a Kingdom-minded perspective. It will also help participants integrate Kingdom values into their ministries and personal lives, ensuring that their work reflects the principles of God's justice, peace, and righteousness.
